Jaq Evans is a speculative fiction author based out of Seattle, Washington. A candidate for her Master of Fine Arts in Popular Fiction at the University of Southern Maine, Jaq's work has appeared in horror and speculative magazines including Three-Lobed Burning Eye, The Molotov Cocktail, and Apparition Literary Magazine.
Jaq also manages content strategy and editorial for ExtraHop Networks, and is an Associate Editor at Pseudopod.
Jaq earned undergraduate degrees in English and Anthropology with a focus in archaeology from Case Western Reserve University in 2012. While she no longer claims any meaningful future in archaeology, bones will always feature heavily in her work as well as in unexpected corners of her living spaces.
Currently based out of Seattle, Jaq grew up in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and has a not-so-secret fondness for quiet ponds and untouched corners of the wood.
